Proposed Analysis: | GWAS is a very powerful method in identifying novel SNPs at crucial sites of Alzheimer's disease patient’s DNA. Exploring the correlation between SNPs and Alzheimer's disease is one of the big task in discovering the pathogenesis and progression of the Alzheimer's disease. Apart from the SNPs in DNA, the MRI data gives detailed first hand evidence of the Alzheimer's disease onset. The physiological changes occurring in the brain can help us to narrow down our investigation on Alzheimer's disease related genes, which will save our time and money. Our main objective is to identify SNPs in the crucial Alzheimer's disease related genes that are specifically up regulated after the onset of the disease. After identifying the crucial SNPs, we would like to simulate it in the mice model and analyse the depth of neuronal damage. We would like to use ADNI data as a training set before going to our original data and assessing ADNI repository will be very useful to train our students as well. |
