Proposed Analysis: | Recent evidence has generated a lot of attention to participants with amyloid-β biomarkers below the cut-off value but with evidence of neuronal injury. These individuals have been classified as “suspected non-Alzheimer pathophysiology’’ (SNAP). To date, it remains unclear to what extent other non-AD pathological processes are contributing to their cognitive decline or neurodegeneration. So far, most studies defined SNAP based on hippocampal volume or hypometabolism, but not tau CSF values. The aim of this study is to investigate the main effects of and interaction effects between WMH and hippocampal volume or cortical thickness in subgroups of MCI patients. Subgroups will be defined based on biomarker levels (below or above abeta and tau CSF cut-off values). This will be a cross sectional observational study. Needed variables: T1, (Freesurfer output) and hippocampal volumes T2, WMH, Volumes CSF P tau/ T tau & abeta 1-42 Cognition Demographics Apo E1-3 status |
