Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Proposed Analysis: In this analysis, we would like to test the genetic epidemiology of traumatic brain injury and Alzheimers Disease after considering whether genetic factors modify the effects of TBI on AD, or whether there are novel confounding effects that can be uncovered. In order to do that, we shall analyse phenotypic data and then use PLINK to identify specific genes and if possible, attempt to construct polygenic risk scores for TBI associated AD.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: Sarah Medland
Proposed Analysis: For ADNIDOD and cardiovascular illness score estimation
