ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

| Proposed Analysis: | Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly. Early diagnosis and prediction plays an important role in early intervention and delaying disease progression of AD.The biomarkers, neuroimaging and cognitive ability scales are important features for pattern classification. Various classification algorithms adopted to distinguish AD play an important role in early diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and normal aging subjects. Besides, they can effectively trace and analyze MCI patients. |
