Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Principal Investigator's Name: Saif Aldeen AlRyalat
Institution: University of Jordan
Department: Faculty of Medicine

Proposed Analysis: In our study, we want to investigate the similarities between neonatal brain and brain changes in alzheimer patients in term of tau protein phosphorylation abnormalities, amyloid beta precursor protein differences, pattern of brain atrophy on MRI, and changes in brain tracts in DTI.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: Nosaiba Al-Ryalat
Proposed Analysis: In our study, we will compare data from alzheimer patient's brain in different stages with neonatal brain in terms of; tau protein phosphorylation abnormality, amyloid beta precursor protein differences, and brain and tract changes on both MRI and DTI, respectively.
