Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Zobair Arya
Institution: University of Oxford
Department: Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences
Proposed Analysis: I'm a 2nd year PhD student and my project is on developing neurogimaging biomarkers for neurodegeneration using methods based on machine learning and statistical modelling. My aim is to characterise changes both between groups and over time, and use these to classify subjects into groups and ultimately disease stage. The algorithm I'm developing will use multi-modal data for this purpose, making ADNI an excellent resource that I can use both for development and validation.
