Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Hamid Behjat
Institution: Lund University
Department: Biomedical Engineering
Proposed Analysis: I am a 5th year PhD candidate in biomedical signal processing. My research involves using methods from spectral graph theory to enhance analysis pipelines of both functional and structural MRI data. In a current project, I am exploring the potential of exploiting spectral graph features for the classification and characterization of morphological changes in brain anatomy in health and in disease. To this aim, the ADNI AD dataset is very well suited for testing the methodologies we are developing. In particular, classification of AD/MCI/NC will be considered as well as longitudinal characterization of AD progression.
