Ongoing Investigations

ADNI data is made available to researchers around the world. As such, there are many active research projects accessing and applying the shared ADNI data. To further encourage Alzheimer’s disease research collaboration, and to help prevent duplicate efforts, the list below shows the specific research focus of the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.

Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Dimitrios Ataloglou
Institution: Aristotle Univercity of Thessaloniki
Department: School of Medicine
Proposed Analysis: Dear Sir/Madam, I am an Electrical and Computer Engineer and currently a postgraduate student, attending a program on Medical Informatics. My diploma thesis will be on the area of automatic hippocampus segmentation (maybe other structures as well), using deep convolutional neural networks. I started working with the atlas dataset provided by the "harmonized protocol for hippocampal volumetry" ( I would like access to the ADNI database, to be able to download the original mri volumes used by the protocol and access any possible metadata about specific scans (e.g. subject age, condition). Thank you.
