Proposed Analysis: I am an attendee invited to the 2017 Friday Harbor Advanced Psychometrics Workshop. The theme this year is on genetics. We will be using ADNI data to illustrate genetic methods. We will be using a variety of Alzheimer’s disease-related phenotypes from ADNI including imaging, cognitive, and fluid biomarker phenotypes, in conjunction with genetic data. Individual users will use the directly genotyped data from ADNI1 to illustrate genetic quality control (QC) methods and to perform genome-wide association studies (GWAS) with several phenotypes. The ADNI1 directly genotyped data are small enough to be used on individual laptops. Workgroups of multiple people will follow-up with additional genetic data sets including SNP data from ADNIGO and ADNI2, and including imputed genetic data sets that have millions of SNPs rather than <1 million SNPs. Specific phenotypes we will use include Alzheimer’s disease by NINCDS-ADRDA criteria, cognitive scores derived from neuropsychological data including ADNI-Mem and ADNI-Exec, amyloid positivity by either CSF or amyloid scans, white matter hyperintensity volumes, hippocampal volumes, and quantitative measures of amyloid and tau from CSF.
