Proposed Analysis: Recently, we developed an automated technique to align cortical surfaces from longitudinal structural MRI, producing more accurate maps of cortical surface deformation (Robinson et al. Neuroimage 2017). This technique has been successfully applied to measure patterns of cortical growth during preterm brain development (Garcia et al. PNAS 2018). Now, we would like to apply the same technique to analyze spatial patterns of cortical deformation (shrinkage) during aging and AD, potentially correlated to other spatial and temporal biomarkers in this dataset.

Investigator's Name: Emily Iannopollo
Proposed Analysis: Assisting with previously proposed surface-based analysis using anatomically-constrained Multimodal Surface Matching.
