Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Melanie Garcia
Institution: Hypercube Institute
Department: Neuroscience and Data Analysis
Country:
Proposed Analysis: To whom it may concern, HyperCube Institute  is an independent and non-profit French endowment fund, which supports French and foreign research entities. These can benefit freely from a technical assistance by the Institute's team of scientists, as well as from the Institute's in-house solutions. Our purpose is to participate in public interest research projects in the field of rare diseases, orphan diseases and public health issues, in partnership with top-tier institutions, and share the results with the wider community. We have an expertise in Neurology thanks to Professor Jean-Marc Orgogozo, president of our scientific comittee. Jean-Marc Orgogozo, MD, had been Professor of Neurology at the University of Bordeaux 2 for 33 years (1982 - 2015), chaired the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University Hospital of Bordeaux from 2006 to 2013. He is qualified in Nuclear Medicine, Neurophysiology and Psychiatry.  He is noted for his work in stroke, ageing and dementia. We use our mathematical, statistical and machine learning skills to study data. Currently, we have a strong interest in neuroimaging, particularly on removing multi-site effects on MRI data collected from different sites. We would like to make our contribution to the field thanks to ADNI project. For this application to ADNI, we are recomended by Professor Bruno Vellas, director of the Gérontopôle at the Toulouse CHU (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire - University Hospital Center). Also, we currently collaborate with Dr. Clare Kelly, Ussher Assistant Professor of Functional Neuroimaging, working at Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN), with a joint appointment in the School of Psychology and Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine. She is Melanie Garcia’s PhD supervisor at Trinity College Dublin, School of Medecine. You can find more information on our website: http://www.institut-hypercube.org/en/ We have been already invited to present our work on brain MRI data at the workshop Women in Machine Learning 2018 and at the workshop Medical Imaging meets NeurIPS 2019 (abstract: https://profs.etsmtl.ca/hlombaert/public/medneurips2019/109_CameraReadySubmission_Towards_a_pipeline_for_the_detection_of_Autism___mgx_overleaf(5).pdf). In this last work, we particularly talked about the multi-site effect on the ABIDE dataset. Please feel free to contact us at melanie.garcia@institut-hypercube.org for more information. Thank you in advance for your answer. François d’Ormesson CEO and Founder at HyperCube Institute Pr.
