| Proposed Analysis: | Previous research has indicated verbal memory declines in individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD), demonstrated a positive relationship between diabetes and lower verbal memory performance, and established diabetes as a risk factor for AD. As such, it is predicted that diabetic medication use (as indicated in medical history data) will moderate the relationship between diabetes diagnosis and verbal memory performance (operationalized as verbal learning memory scores [immediate recall scores] from the Cogstate Battery and other verbal memory measures included in the Neuropsychological Battery) in individuals with AD (as indicated by listed diagnosis). |
