Proposed Analysis: | During my master thesis I used MRI and PET scans from the ADNI study to create a multi-modal, multi-task deep learning model to classify CN/MCI/AD patients (account with email w.deswart@student.ru.nl, which I no longer have access to). This year I started my PhD, which will be focussed on finding (non-invasive) markers for cognitive decline with machine learning. I would like access to the ADNI dataset (mainly the clinical data) to experiment with several existing methods and to hopefully create a new, improved machine learning model. At the moment I am interested in testing survival analysis methods, for instance starting with the methods described in "A comparison of machine learning methods for survival analysis of high-dimensional clinical data for dementia prediction" (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-77220-w). In addition I want to look at other (machine learning) methods for dementia prediction and risk factor analysis. |
