| Proposed Analysis: | My team and I are developing algorithms that can discover causal relationships from observational data (causal discovery). In our recent work, we explore how background knowledge, such as variable types (e.g., demographics vs. biomarkers) can facilitate the search for causal relationships (see https://arxiv.org/abs/2107.10703). We are now looking for real-world data to evaluate the method. Our literature review took us to the work of Shen et al., which does causal discovery on ADNI data (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-59669-x.pdf). In line with their work, we aim to use this data to evaluate our method. All results will be published in an extended version of our paper (linked above). |
