Proposed Analysis: | The main focus will be on perivascular spaces (PVS). PVS are cerebrospinal-fluid filled spaces in the brain which form part of the glymphatic system. They are enlarged in diseased states and can be visibile in MRI. Perivascular spaces in T1-weighted MRI images from ADNI and other datasets will be manually segement. Subsequently, these labels will be used to train and test a neural network to automatically detect PVS in T1 MRI data. As a result, the model will be made open-source for all researchers to investigate PVS. |
