Proposed Analysis: | The aim of our research is to identify regulatory variants associated with the early-onset Alzheimer's disease. We plan to perform targeted next generation sequencing of the regulatory regions of genome for a cohort of 24 patients. We will use a set of regulatory regions that we identified to be active in human brain. We would like to compare the set of regulatory variants identified in our cohort to the whole genome sequencing results collected by ADNI and screen these results for other possible regulatory variants. |

Proposed Analysis: | This Co-Investigator will participate in two types of analysis: 1. The analysis which aim is identification of regulatory variants associated with the early-onset Alzheimer's disease. 2. Development of machine-learning algorithms for identification and classification of patients with dementia based on single nucleotide polymorphisms detected in whole-genome sequencing data. |
