Question

Question Posted 09/06/20:
How can I identify the patients who converted to AD from MCI? I know that I need to use the Diagnostic Summary table available in the Data Archive. What I would like to know is how to identify those patients who have converted from the table. I tried using the DXCONV column but I had no luck with that.
Response posted 09/06/20 by Danielle:
Diagnosis information was captured through different variables across the phases of ADNI, though all are contained within the Diagnostic Summary table. For ADNI-1, the diagnosis and conversion information is stored in DXCURREN and DXCONV. For ADNI-GO/2, this information is contained in the variable DXCHANGE. For ADNI-3, the information is in the variable DIAGNOSIS. The Data Dictionary file contains the coding information for these variables. The ADNIMERGE file ("Key ADNI tables merged into one table") combines information across these variables to record the diagnosis at each visit, so you can also refer to this file.
