Question
Question Posted 01/08/14:
I wish to find all subjects with a medical history of depression; in MEDHIST.csv file there is a column entitled MHPSYCH. Does 1 correspond to, anxiety, depression, both? Is using the the BXSYMP column in PECBLOOG.csv a better approach?
Thank you kindly.
Best wishes,
Antoine

The MHPSYCH variable indicates whether a person has or had a psychiatric condition. The 1 corresponds to 'YES.' BXSYMP may be a better approach as you can filter by the 'depressed mood' field.
