Question

Question Posted 11/01/23:
Hi, I am wondering if there is some explanations for the descriptions for fMRI data. I know all of them are resting state fMRI but not sure if any significant difference exists between different descriptions. I searched online and there is difference between fMRI and fcMRI but what about other description like Axial 2D PASL, is it of significant difference as description resting state fmri
Response posted 11/01/23 by ADNI MRI Core:
Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core. There is no difference in the fMRI sequences acquired for ADNI. They are are considered resting state, where the subjects were instructed to keep their eyes open during the experiment. (So that we could ensure subjects did not sleep through the scan). The PASL sequence is not fMRI, it is an arterial spin labelled sequence.
