Question
Question Posted 06/19/24:
I realized that a single site can have multiple locations, and I can use the subject ID to easily identify the site. However, I'm unsure how to differentiate between various locations within the same site. Although I can see different MFG models within a site, it's possible that the same site might have multiple locations with the same manufacturer and model. How can I distinguish between these different locations?

Hi,
The Device Serial Number (DICOM tag (0018, 1000)) is unique to each scanner even if they are the same model. ADNI hashes the DSNs so they cannot be used to identify the scanner locations, but the hashes are still unique so you can use them to distinguish scanners.
