Question
Question Posted 04/10/25:
How can we get the NIFTI files of MRI images of CN, MCI and AD subjects instead of DICOM files. Actually, i am using SPM toolbox to preprocess the MRI images. The toolbox is good for NIFTI format MRI images. Please give me suggestions to get NIFTI files.

Hello,
There are several programs that can convert dicom to nifti, including dcm2niix, dicm2nii, and possibly even spm itself. I have only used dcm2niix, though.

Thank you so much for your response. I tried DICOM to NifTi conversion using SPM toolbox. However after conversion, more than one NifTi volumes are recorded for 150 DICOM files of a single subject.

I believe it is normal for SPM to treat 4D series as a set of 3D niftis. You might prefer how dcm2niix organizes its output.
