Question
Question Posted 02/24/26:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am currently working on an ASL-MRI denoising project involving multiple cohort subjects and would appreciate your guidance regarding the appropriate pcASL data to download.
For the 3D pcASL dataset, the DICOM series contained 80 volumes; however, after conversion to NIfTI, only two volumes were present. In contrast, a PASL dataset retained all 105 volumes after conversion.
Since my research requires access to the full unaveraged ASL time series (individual control/label dynamics) for methodological development, could you please advise which specific pcASL data (raw DICOM series, full 4D time series, M0 scans, or other reconstruction level) should be downloaded?
Thank you very much for your valuable time.
Sincerely,
[Tejaswi Kajuboju]

Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core.
There are many versions of ASL in ADNI, which can cause confusion. There are links to two papers outlining the different protocols that exist. Once you have narrowed down the data set they are interested in that will assist is obtaining the images you wish to use. Question concerning how to search the LONI database can be addressed to: data.coordinator@loni.usc.edu
