Question

Question Posted 03/16/26:
I want to perform slice-to-volume motion correction on ADNI2-3-GO diffusion-MRI data using FSL’s eddy tool. However, for multiple DWI scans, I am getting the error "We could not find "SliceTiming" information from your json file." Could you please comment on whether this correction is recommended for all ADNI DWI data. If yes, where could I find the slicetiming information? Thank you.

It is not clear whether you have already gotten BIDS JSON files from dcm2niix, but that is the easiest way to get slice timings and supply them to eddy. If dcm2niix did not get them they are most likely not in the DICOM; it happens.

Slice to volume motion correction can be useful, but I consider it optional in ADNI for a few reasons:
* It is not a high motion cohort like a juvenile one.
* Eddy has outlier replacement
* You need to decide whether it is worth it given the unlikelihood of being able to apply it to all of your selected cohort.
