I noticed, in the data collections, that different specifications are written regarding the scans : IR-SPGR, wacceleration calibration scan, 3-plane localizer, MPRAGE, MPRAGE GRAPPA2, MPRAGE SENSE 2, ... If I want the MPRAGE images, should I only download the images where the description MPRAGE is written ? What is the difference between MPRAGE and MPRAGE SENSE 2 or MPRAGE GRAPPA 2? Is there a file describing and comparing these specifications ?

Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core.

The difference between those series is that SENSE (Philips) and GRAPPA (Siemens) are factor of 2 accelerated scans and just MPRAGE is non accelerated.

Yes, If you wished only for non accelerated scans you should download series with only MPRAGE in the series description.
