What do we know about complications concerning the use of stem cells, and what are the differences between using bone narrow stromal stem cells vs. embryonic stem cells? I am doing a research paper on stem cells being used to potentially cure Alzheimer's and I am interested in learning more from an expert. Thank you.

Your specific question is outside the scope of ADNI as we are not collecting embryonic or other types of stem cells. In ADNI3 investigators may use newly added PBMC samples to develop adult iPS cells.
