Question

Question Posted 10/30/17:
Dear ADNI,
I was wondering if it would be possible for me to apply for access to the ADNIÂ’s MRI data without IRB number.

While I was following the data access application steps, I found that there is an IRB Number field at the third step. Even though it is not marked with an asterisk, I just wanted to get confirm that whether it is possible to receive approval to access ADNI data without filling the IRB Number. My professor and I are designing a new study that aims to develop a deep learning-based Alzheimer's Disease(AD) diagnostic model and would like to use ADNIÂ’s MRI data in our study.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Taerim Lee

By participating in ADNI research you are obviously involved in human research. Its much better for you and for the process in general that you have IRB approval to do this work. However, if you do not have IRB approval, and your institution has told you that its acceptable for you to do this work without IRB approval, then note that in the body of your application
