Question

Question Posted 02/16/18:
Is there an overall consensus on the amyloid status of ADNI participants. There is a tremendous amount of data from various centres, with 2 PET ligands and csf , but it seems a complicated and rather subjective process to decide whether any individual is amyloid positive or negative.
Response posted 02/26/18 by Leslie Shaw:
There is very good concordance between amyloidPET imaging and CSF abeta42 concentrations, about 89% overall subjects(NL, SMC,EMCI, LMCI, AD) with higher concordance in AD and progressively gradually lower for each of the earlier stages from LMCI>EMCI>SMC>NL. Please call me at 267-251-8901 to discuss or email: Leslie.Shaw2@uphs.upenn.edu. Sincerely, Les Shaw
