I’m interested in using etiological diagnosis with machine learning algorithms and would like some clarification on the acronyms DXMOTHET and DXODES, what exactly do they stand for and are there any other etiological data collected by adni. Thanks for your time and consideration.

The data dictionary (DATADIC.csv) provides the specific question captured by this variable as well as defining the numeric codes. That file will also define other variables captured in the Diagnostic Summary file (DXSUM_PDXCONV_ADNIALL.csv) that may contain useful information for you. If this does not answer your question, feel free to clarify!
