Question

Question Posted 04/30/14:
Dear Experts,

I'm not sure quite who to address demographic data collection questions to, so I hope you don't mind me addressing it to "All ADNI".

From looking through the data dictionary, inventory and excel files, it seems to me that no measure of bilingual status was ever taken. It is possible to work out which patients are bilingual, by looking at discrepancies in participant primary language and testing language, but not possible to work out which participants are definitely monolingual. Is anyone able to confirm if that is indeed the case?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Best wishes,
Rebecca

Correct - with the data collected it is not possible to identify participants who are definitely monolingual.
