Question
Question Posted 04/29/15:
Dear expert! recently, I have downloaded rt-fMRI images from ADNI dataset. To accurately process these data, I have to know the slice order. However, I have not found any useful information about slice order form the header information. For aheader information,I can only find the information about slice location and image number. So, I want to know where can I get slice order, or speculate the it by a certain relationship between slice location and image number?

Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core.
As of right now, slice order is not specifically denoted in the DICOM headers, However there is a DICOM Working Group devoted to getting a better set of tags for fMRI, but they are not available yet.
For now we have captured the slice order in our QC report available here:
https://ida.loni.usc.edu/pages/access/studyData.jsp?categoryId=14
Under the file named:
Mayo (Jack Lab) - Default Mode Network Connectivity [ADNIGO,2]
