Question Posted 02/24/16:
To whom this may concern,
I am using the AV45 images and looking at Regional uptake. I just want to confirm that the downloaded images (stage 4 processed) are SUV images. As in they are intensity corrected for injected dose and body weight.

Response posted 02/24/16 by Bob Koeppe:
No these are not SUV images, as they are not corrected for either dose or weight. They are simply normalized to cerebellar gray matter, and are what people call SUVR (ratio) images. The SUVR label is confusing as it is actually just a tissue concentration ratio. Anytime SUVR is used, even if it were truly an SUV ratio, the weight and dose would be in both numerator and denominator, and hence would cancel out anyway.
