Question

Question Posted 08/29/17:
Hello,
I would like to follow up on a question about the MRI acquisition for ADNI. We are just wondering about the rationale of acquiring straight axials for the structural MRI. Do you believe that tilting has an effect on post-processing or image analysis such as volumetric measurements for instance?
Many thanks,
Jill
Response posted 08/31/17 by ADNI MRI Core:
Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core.

The reason for straight axial is to reduce the effect from technologists changing the angle from visit to visit, site to site, and tech to tech. This also allows users to fit to a template starting from 0/0/0.
