Question

Question Posted 01/03/18:
Hello

I am a Post-doc working on reduced penetrance of familial AD and FTD. We have interested to identify the modifiers of AD and FTD using reduced penetrance subjects. We are planning to use the Multi-omics approach coupled with iPSCs technology. However, problem with the study is there is only reduced penetrance subject available with us for each familial AD and FTD.

can you please suggest what is optimal way to approach the study since the limited sample (i.e. only one subject) could undermine the study and its outcome?

Thank you very much for your suggestions.

Best regards
Karthick

ADNI is a study of sporadic late onset MCI/AD and does not include familial AD and FTD by design. You may want to consider other cohorts focusing on ADAD and FTD to meet your objectives.
