I noticed that there are two type of fMRI images,fMRI and extended fMRI, i just get confused with that, could you please help me with what's the difference? thank you for your precious time.

Thank you for your question to the ADNI MRI Core

When ADNI first started the time of the fMRI was 7 minutes. Research began to show that a time of 10 minutes was needed for an effective fMRI study, so the the extended fMRI was a change from 7 to 10 mins.
