| Proposed Analysis: | We aim to compare and contrast relations between brain structure (e.g., brain volumes, diffusion) and cognition in Hispanics and Non-Hispanic Whites. More specifically, we would like to characterise how individual differences in genetics (e.g., APOE e4) and cardiovascular health (e.g., hypertension) may impact brain structure and, in turn, cognition in Hispanics compared to Non-Hispanic Whites. We plan to use multivariate regression analysis to predict cognition from brain structure. Voxel-based morphometry techniques in SPM8 will be used to analyze the high-resolution data. DTI-TK will be used in order to obtain tract-specific information from diffusion images. |
