Proposed Analysis: | The B4AD projects proposes to develop and improve novel biostatistical design methods to analyse newly-generated data using the sophisticated PamChip kinase biomarker profiling methods in combination with current available data in the biobank for neurodegenerative diseases. Essentially, our proposal is to make use of Bayesian statistical methods (which make use of prior knowledge) and adaptive designs (which allow design features to be adapted based on already available information). This kind of analysis will allow probabilistic statements to be made about the value of data and to suggest minimum prospective validation requirements for each of them individually, or in combination. ADNI data would be used to serve two main goals. Within the scope of the B4AD project, ADNI CSF biomarker data would be applied to guide the development of the new statistical methodologies. Furthermore, the final BRAVO methodology will be applied to the ADNI CSF biomarker data to investigate the minimum prospective validation requirements for these most commonly used CSF AD-biomarkers. |
