Proposed Analysis: My colleagues and I have been developing a multimodal (fMRI/NIRS) imaging method to perform detailed blood flow/perfusion imaging, and have developed a recent modification of this technique which allows for the extraction of perfusion information from resting state fMRI data alone, requiring no radionuclides or contrast agents (I can provide references to publications describing aspects of this technique). My hypothesis is that the this technique will be able to quantify the regional perfusion deficits characteristic of AD, which could aid in differential diagnosis of dementias. I would like to test the technique on a dataset containing subjects with PRAD subjects, matched controls, and subjects with other dementias, if available. I would require resting state MR, anatomical images, and some limited demographic data including diagnosis.
