Proposed Analysis: Neurodegenerative diseases manifest with severe symptoms and often have few therapeutics options, yet there is limited understanding of the biological pathways underlying disease progression. Longitudinal clinical and molecular data can give insight into disease progression patterns, but these data sets are often sparse and noisy. We aim to characterize clusters of disease progression trajectories from sparse patient data using bayesian nonparametric models. We apply mixture of expert models to identify patient clusters, and learn cluster-specific gaussian process models. We aim to use these clusters to better inform biological pathways that are drivers of patients and can be used to inform therapeutic targets.
