Proposed Analysis: | Our central hypothesis is that neuroimaging, patient demographics (age, sex, etc.), and neuropsychiatric test scores may be used to predict future rates of cognitive decline. We propose to leverage the ADNI longitudinal dataset to train a deep learning model to map these features onto discrete categories of future cognitive decline rates. Cognitive decline will be established using changes in available neuropsychiatric metrics across patient visits. Measuring this decline may aid in clinically decision-making by stratifying patients by their predicted rate of cognitive decline. |
