Proposed Analysis: | Dear, The project the ADNI data will be used for research concerning the progression of Alzheimer’s disease in combination with machine learning. Together with Ilja Cornelisz and Chris van Klaveren (both Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, Methods and Statistics) I will work on data-analyses using supervised machine learning. This type of analysis is able to gather large amounts of data and search for patterns within this data that could possibly predict the outcome variable. In this case, the aim is to investigate MRI brain scans of Alzheimer patients to find out whether there are certain patterns in the brain that are predictive of the course or progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally it can be investigated whether there are e.g. certain demographics, vital signs or results from cognitive assessments, or specific combinations of these, that are predictive of progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you very much in forward. Kind regards, Eva Bus |
