Proposed Analysis: Our study focus on the fundamental study of early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) using structural MRI of brain. Presently, supervised learning classifiers to address this problem have achieved great accuracy. Owing to the fact that brain anatomy changes with subtleties can be observed years ahead before distinct biomarkers can be visualized by human, we aim to predict accurate moment of progression of progressive mild cognitive impairment (pMCI) into AD. The expected outcome of our study is an automated deep learning model that accepts brain image to predict whether a MCI subject will progress into AD subject and specifies the time of conversion of 6, 12, 18, 24 or 36 months in the future. The outcome of this research will have positive impacts in the realm of AD classification and provides new insights of AD theory, which could help neuropsychologists to have further understanding regarding the cognitive and behavioral manifestations of AD and their relationship with underlying brain structure.
