Proposed Analysis: | As a research assistant I work on building new machine learning and graph learning tools for multi view representation and disease classification. Our current research focuses on building interpretable deep learning models to decode the interactions between the external phenotype (like brain activation maps) and genetic mutation (single nucleotide polymorphisms). The multi modality datasets of ADNI are perfect test beds to evaluate our models. We will use the datasets to evaluate and analyze the performance of our models on a larger scale. This will allow us to check the generalization ability of our models. Additionally, using a larger database we will be able to identify meaningful and clinically significant patterns from the data. As a first step I would download the TADPOLE challenge data and evaluate our models to predict Alzheimer. Alzheimer is mainly characterized by altered brain structure, additionally it has a strong genetic component. So, evaluating our models on such datasets will enable us to confirm our clinical discoveries. |
