Proposed Analysis: | Implementing deep convolutional neural networks to classify and predict prognoses of Alzheimer’s in patients based on MRI neuroimage data. The proposed model receives sequences of MRI neuroimages and produces the likelihood of the patient's conversion from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer's disease (AD). The proposed model is to be trained on structural MRI scans from the ADNI database, with neuroimages assigned to one of three categories: control (CN), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and Alzheimer's disease (AD). The NIfTI image files will be pre-processed to normalize dimensions across neuroimages, processed using the NiBabel library, and ultimately converted to tensors. |
