Proposed Analysis: | Our current project involves comparing the reward-system networks between primates and nhp. Since many nueropsychiatric/neurological diseases are thought to be in part a result or maladaptive changes in brain due to evolutive processes, cross-species comparison becomes relevant to understand both, biological and environmental causes associated with pathologies. In this project we aim to show how some of the pathological outcomes can be parallel in humans and non human primates. To achieve this we require to analyze both, healthy and non healthy human brains. |
