Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Jonathan Bartlett
Institution: University of Bath
Department: Mathematical Sciences
Proposed Analysis: I am a co-author on the 2nd edition of the Wiley published book 'Multiple Imputation and its Application', whose 1st edition was authored by Prof Carpenter and Kenward. In the 1st edition ADNI data was used to illustrate some imputation methods for missing data. In the new 2nd edition, we would like to present these results again, and also perform some additional analyses using different versions of multiple imputation to illustrate their pros/cons. The analysis will closely mirror those that I did in this publication doi: 10.1177/0962280214521348, where we were fitting models in the MCI subjects from ADNI, looking at baseline predictors of time to conversion to AD. In particular, we are using multiple imputation methods to impute missing baseline covariates, including CSF measures. I am of course happy to give further details of the imputation analyses we intend to perform if required at this stage.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: James Carpenter
Proposed Analysis: Prof. Carpenter is the lead author of the multiple imputation textbook in which we would like to again include some illustrative analyses of ADNI data. He likely will not need access to the data, as I (Dr Bartlett) will be leading the ADNI analyses for the 2nd edition of the book, but I have added him here just in case it transpires that he does need access.
