| Proposed Analysis: | The proposed analysis seeks to determine regions involved in normal and pathological aging in patients with AD, whose changes allow for predicting the clinical severity and disease progression of patients. For this purpose, supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning models will be trained, with the first ones, classifiers will be built to separate patients using as input the change in brain volume of different regions and then by means of variable importance techniques to determine the most informative regions to explain the separation of classes. On the other hand, unsupervised techniques will be used to identify clusters of brain regions with similar changes in both patients with AD and healthy controls and identify those that are more informative and allow discriminating between both categories. |
