| Proposed Analysis: | Can we find a metric to diagnose and/or measure the progression of Alzheimer's Disease using data from PET scans in the ADNI database? The project would focus on using PCA, ICA, and possibly topological data analysis to try and find structures within PET scans that are correlated with AD. With our clinical data, we will first check to see how much missingness and sparsity there is among our features. Then through visualizing associations and trends, as well as performing more analysis of the domain-specific knowledge on Alzheimer’s, we will select features from our clinical data to use in our model. |
