Can we separate MCI group in adni3 data further into EMCI and LMCI by ourselves based on the same criteria for adni2?

No. Separation of MCI individuals into early and late MCI did not continue in ADNI3. The Late MCI criteria was used to enroll MCI individuals in ADNI3.

The protocols for the different phases of ADNI are included on the Documents page, so you can see the specific inclusion/exclusion criteria for each group. EMCI are considered MCI in ADNI3, because they meet criteria for MCI.
