Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: William McGeown
Institution: University of Strathclyde
Department: School of Psychological Sciences and Health
Country:
Proposed Analysis: We plan to investigate the relationship between brain structure and delusions. We will examine which brain regions are atrophic in those people with MCI and AD that have delusions compared to a matched patient group that do not have delusions. We will also examine the link between neuroanatomy and the intensity of the delusions. In addition, we will investigate the association between neuropsychological measures (and structural measures) and the presence of delusions.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: Rhys Donnelly
Proposed Analysis: We plan to investigate the neuroanatomical correlates of a range of neuropsychiatric symptoms in people with MCI and AD. We are also interested in prediction of symptomology and of cognitive decline. We will use methods such as voxel-based morphometry and resting-state fMRI functional connectivity analysis. Correlations with neuropsychological and clinical data will also be investigated.
