Proposed Analysis: | Our research group has analyzed a panel of 77 plasma signaling proteins from cohort of young to middle-aged carriers of early onset FAD mutation carriers (Ringman et al., submitted). These analyses were performed by Satoris and the markers are a subset of the larger set of markers studied from ADNI plasma samples as part of the "Use of Targeted Multiplex Proteonomic Strategies to Identify Plasma-Based Biomarkers in Alzheimer's Disease" project. Our proposed analyses would compare the levels of overlapping plasma markers between our FAD mutation carrier population and the larger set of ADNI NC, MCI, and AD subjects to determine whether FAD-related changes in plasma markers produce a different signature relative to the later-onset AD captured by the ADNI cohort. We would include age, gender, ethnicity, and ApoE genotype as additional potential covariates. |
